Terms of Use
The fine print, kept plain.
These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Hue. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
Last updated 30 October 2026
Who we are
Hue is run by Revolvv Pty Ltd, an Australian company (“we”, “us”). You can reach us any time at [email protected].
What Hue is, and isn’t
Hue helps you notice and count the different plants you eat each week. It’s a habit tool for everyday eating.
Hue is not medical, nutrition or dietary advice. Its goals, colour groups and research notes are general information, not a nutrient score or a diagnosis. Talk to a doctor or dietitian about your own health, especially if you have allergies, a medical condition, are pregnant, or are changing your diet a lot.
Your account
- You need to be 16 or older to create an account. If you’re 13 to 15, you can create one with your parent or guardian’s permission, and they agree to these terms for you. Children under 13 can’t have their own account, but can be added as family profiles by a parent or carer who manages them.
- Keep your login details private. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- Give us a real email address so we can reach you about your account, and let us know straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Only add family profiles for people who are happy to be added, or children you’re the parent, guardian or carer of. You’re responsible for the profiles you add.
Membership, free trial and cancelling
- Hue is a paid membership. The plans and prices for your country are shown in the app before you start.
- In the app, you subscribe through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when your free trial ends.
- Your membership renews automatically at the same length and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- If a plan includes a free trial, you won’t be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. Each person can have one free trial.
- Cancel any time in your iPhone or iPad Settings › your name › Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its own policies. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws that apply to you.
- If we change a price, Apple will tell you before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
Photos and suggestions
When you choose to check a meal photo, it’s sent to our AI partner to suggest the plants it can see, as our Privacy policy explains. Suggestions can be wrong, so you review and confirm them before anything is logged. Don’t rely on Hue to spot allergens or ingredients you need to avoid.
Using Hue fairly
Please don’t misuse Hue. That means no trying to break into accounts or our systems, no overloading the service or copying it with automated tools, no reselling it, and no uploading anything unlawful or anything you don’t have the right to share.
Your information and ours
- What you log belongs to you. You let us store and process it only to run Hue for you, as our Privacy policy describes.
- The Hue app, name, food characters, artwork and text belong to us or our licensors. While you follow these terms, you have a personal right to use them as part of using Hue.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
Ending your account
You can delete your account any time in Account & billing › Delete account. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an Apple subscription, so cancel that in Settings first. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if we need to for legal or security reasons, and we’ll tell you why unless the law stops us. If we ever stop offering Hue, we’ll tell you first and help you get a refund from Apple for the unused part of your subscription. Parts of these terms meant to continue, such as those on our responsibility, still apply after your account ends.
Changes to Hue and these terms
We keep improving Hue, so we may add, change or remove features. Features marked as new or in testing may not work perfectly and may change or end. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Hue and cancel your membership.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Hue running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the greater of what you paid for Hue in the 12 months before the problem and A$100. Some laws, including the Australian Consumer Law, give you rights that can’t be excluded; these terms don’t take those away.
Other services
Hue relies on, and links to, services run by others, such as Apple, payment providers and our AI partner. Their own terms may apply, and we’re not responsible for them.
Apple
If you got Hue from the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies. Apple isn’t responsible for Hue or its support; we are.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and disputes go to the courts of Queensland. If you live somewhere else, you also keep any protections the laws of your country give you, including the right to bring a claim where you live if your local law allows it.
The rest of the fine print
- These terms, together with any terms shown when you buy a plan, are the whole agreement between you and us about Hue.
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
- We’re not responsible for delays or problems caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as internet or provider outages.
- We may pass these terms to another company if Hue is sold or reorganised; your rights stay the same.
- We may send you notices by email or in the app.
